Food Pantry
Member churches, individuals and organizations contribute non-perishable food and personal care items for distribution from our pantry. Each client is interviewed to assess other needs that might be addressed. Food packages are provided according to family size and need.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is limited to the following areas of need: rental assistance, utility assistance, job/medical related transportation, clothing for work or school and medical co-pays. Candidates for financial help are screened via a confidential application and interview process. Vouchers or direct payment to creditors are used rather than money given to an applicant.
Faith Community Nurse
Through a partnership with Penrose St. Francis, our Faith Community Nurse is a registered nurse, available to advocate and facilitate whole-person health, healing, and well-being. As an integrator of faith and health, the nurse makes referrals, and provides health counseling and health education to our clients.

TEFAP is a Federal program funded by the US Department of Agriculture that helps supplement the diets of low-income persons by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance. This program is open to qualified residents throughout El Paso County. The distribution site is at Fellowship Bible Church, 5590 N. Nevada Ave., from 9am-noon every Monday.
Free Tax Preparation

Seasonal Programs
Annual Community Health Fair & Back To School Program (August), Thanksgiving Baskets (November), and Home for the Holiday:Sponsor-A-Family Drive (December).
Community Health Fair & Back To School Program
Northern Churches Care teams up with Penrose-St. Francis Community Network of Caring for the annual Community Health Fair & Back-to-School Program. At this annual event NCC provides health services (back-to-school physicals, immunizations, and a variety of health screenings) and school supplies to uninsured and underinsured families in our community.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Each Thanksgiving, NCC provides local churches with the names of families that are in need of Thanksgiving Dinner. Through this partnership, churches, small groups and community members will assembly Thanksgiving Baskets full of traditional Thanksgiving fare for these families. We are always in need of additional churches to partner with us.
Home for the Holidays:Keeping All Families in their Homes for Christmas
NCC strives to keep all families in their homes for Christmas. To this end, Colorado Springs Community Members have the opportunity to Sponsor-A-Family through a $200 sponsorship which will keep them in their home. Sponsors have the additional opportunity to provide assistance through gifts and food, if desired.
NCC collaborates with Mr. Biggs, Springs Rescue Mission, and Christmas Unlimited by referring families to them to receive Christmas Gifts and Dinner.
